Recently, the Government of Telangana State launched the Weaver Empowerment initiative, named Netannaku Bharosa Scheme, under which the Government aims to provide financial assistance to all handloom weavers across the state. According to this scheme, the Government will provide financial aid of INR 18,000 per year to all the weavers working in the Handloom Centres. This initiative aims to provide benefits to approximately 40,000 Weavers across the Telangana state, enabling them to achieve financial stability and lead a quality life. The financial help provided under this initiative will be disbursed in two installments, released by the Government soon.

About Netannaku Bharosa Scheme
The Chief Minister of Telangana State Mr. Revanth Reddy announced this incredible initiative called the Netannaku Bharosa Scheme on 6th April, 2024. According to this initiative, the Government will provide financial help to all the handloom and powerloom workers so that they can empower themselves. Under this scheme, the Government will provide financial help of INR 18,000 Annually to all the handloom weavers and INR 6,000 to all the weavers working in Handloom and Powerloom Centres.
And now from June 2, the authorities have started to implement this scheme across the Telangana State with a total allocated budget of INR 48 Crores for the implementation of this scheme. The Government has aimed to provide benefits to about 40,000 Waeavers through this scheme across the Telangana State.

Purpose of Netannaku Bharosa Scheme
The main purpose behind this Netannaku Bharosa Scheme is to empower handloom and powerloom workers by providing financial help and support. According to this scheme, the Government will provide financial aid of INR 18,000 per year to all the handloom weavers and INR 6000 to all the weavers working in Handloom & Powerloom Centres. The financial help provided under this scheme will be distributed in two installments and will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank accounts by DBT Process. Till now the Government has started to implement this scheme from June 2, 2025, and soon the Government will release the Netannaku Bharosa Scheme First Installment of INR 9000 and INR 3000 respectively to all the beneficiary’s bank accounts by DBT Process. As per the reports stated by the Officials, the Government has allocated a financial budget of INR 48 Crores for the implementation of this scheme.
