The State Government of Karnataka has recently launched the Karnataka Price Deficiency Payment Scheme online to stabilize the financial losses faced by mango farmers across Karnataka State. The Government of Karnataka State has issued an order to implement the Price Deficiency Payment Scheme, in which the Government aims to provide compensation for the losses faced by mango farmers due to the falling prices of mangoes in the Markets. Mango Farmers must pre-register themselves under this initiative to get the benefits of compensation. About Karnataka Price Deficiency Payment Scheme 2025
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, along with the Government of Karnataka State, has launched the Karnataka Price Deficiency Payment Scheme on 24th June, 2025, in order to provide financial support to all the mango farmers facing huge losses due to falling market prices of mangoes. According to this scheme, the Government will provide financial support as Compensation to all the affected Mango Farmers of the Districts of Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, and Kolar.
The Government will provide compensation of up to 10 Metric Tonnes (20 Quintals) of Mangoes, and the compensation amount will be sent directly to the farmers’ bank account through the DBT Process. Mangoes Traded with Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMC) Mandis are eligible under this initiative. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has approved the procurement of up to 2.5 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Mangoes under this Initiative.
