Ayushman Card Assam, also known as the Ayushman Asom Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AA-MMJAY), is a health insurance initiative implemented by the Assam Government in order to make Healthcare more accessible to all citizens from every income group. Under this initiative, the Government aims to provide Health Insurance Coverage of up to INR 5 Lakh Annually to all the eligible citizens and families across Assam. This initiative will be specifically targeted at the citizens belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections of the State. Now, all the citizens who belong to financially weaker households can apply for the Ayushman Card in both Online and Offline ways. As per the reports stated by the Government till now, about 1.6 Crore Ayushman Cards have been created under this PMJAY Assam Initiative.
