About Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Scheme
This Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State, Mr. MK Stalin on 15th September, 2023, According to this scheme, the Government will empower females by providing them with financial help and support so that they can become confident & self-independent. Under this scheme, the Government will provide financial help of INR 1000 monthly to all the female heads of the family across the state. As per the reports released by the Officials, the Government has allocated a financial budget of INR 12,000 crores for the implementation of this initiative, and till now, the Government has received 1.63 Crore applications for registration under this scheme, and about 1.06 crores of females have been selected as beneficiaries under this scheme.
