About Odisha Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana
The Chief Minister of Odisha State Mohan Charan Manjhi & Naveen Patnaik have launched this remarkable health insurance initiative named Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana under which the Government aims to provide health insurance coverage for all the eligible citizens belonging to Rural and Urban Areas. According to this scheme, the Government aims to provide health insurance of INR 5 Lakh for all citizens belonging to Rural Areas and INR 6 Lakh to all families belonging to Urban Areas per year. Previously this initiative was known as Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana and till now approximately 1.1 crore patients have benefitted under this initiative. Citizens can avail of health insurance in both Private & Government across or outside Odisha state.
